Day 1 ~ Confidence Booster

Belly Breathing & Reflecting on Your Why

Hi! We’re going to dive right in and start with a simple (but super effective!) belly breathing meditation. 

  1. Take 5 minutes for this meditation 
  2. Find a comfortable seat 
  3. And press play

Grab your pen and notebook as well, as we will end this session with a writing exercise.

The biggest benefit of belly breathing, also known as diaphragmatic breathing, is its ability to promote relaxation and reduce stress. 

Belly breathing slows down your breathing rate and elicits a relaxation response (“rest & digest” mode) in your body. It allows for more efficient oxygen exchange, leading to increased oxygenation of the blood and improved overall lung function. 

It lowers heart rate, reduces muscle tension, and promotes a sense of calm and well-being.

Reflecting on Your Why

When you have a clear understanding of your “why”, it serves as a motivator during challenging times. It reminds you of your deeper intentions and the impact you aim to make, reinforcing your belief in yourself and your abilities.

Answer these 4 questions to reflect on your purpose:

  • Why did you start or want to start your business?
  • Why is this work important to you?
  • What motivates you to continue?
  • What would your business and life look like if anything was possible?
