Celebrating Your Successes
- Make a list of your achievements. Start by listing three of your accomplishments as an entrepreneur, both big and small. These could include anything from landing a new client to doing something out of your comfort zone.
- Reflect on the impact of your achievements. For each item on your list, reflect on the positive impact it has had on your business or your life. For example, landing a new client may have brought in more revenue, while stepping out of your comfort zone may have boosted your confidence and motivation.
Why celebrating your successes is important for your self-confidence
It’s easy to skip any minor or even major successes as an entrepreneur. There are always a million things to do, so who has time to celebrate landing a new client or selling a product?
Nobody. But it’s still super important. Why? Because our brains are wired to remember the negative instead of the positive. It’s our survival mechanism.
The sad thing is that it sometimes does the opposite of ‘protecting’ us. It destroys us. Our minds can be our greatest enemies if we don’t carve out the time to actively acknowledge and reshape the stories we are telling ourselves.
Words have actual power. Celebrating your successes contributes to the creation of positive narratives. It helps to reshape your thought patterns and build a healthier self-image.
